I fail at updating...

Sorry guys, I know it has been a while since my last update (Christmas to be precise), I hope everyone had a great christmas and new year and is settling back into their routine again, my New Years was quiet but all around fairly enjoyable.

Lately I have been simply focussing on work and trying to get more work done on my manuscript, the deadline is ticking ever closer and I want to make sure I put in a decent effort so that I have no regrets when I hand my manuscript in.

Merry Christmas

I know I have not made any posts over the past week, but things have been fairly quiet. I’m currently spending time with my parents up at their farm and will be going to visit my sister and her 2 nieces to open presents with them tomorrow morning for Christmas Day.

That being said, I hope everyone has a merry and SAFE christmas, don’t overdo it and I hope you get all that you wished for.

Few things leave me as speechless as this...

Words can’t describe what was going through my mind when I was reading the news this morning and saw about the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

I tried to think about how I would feel if I was in their shoes… I simply couldn’t bring myself to. I knew no matter what came to mind, it would be a mere fraction of what grief they are going through at this time.

We're Back!

Sorry about the disappearance of the website for a while, things got REALLY tight finance wise and I had to let my payment drop for a short time. Things are back up and running though, so it's all good.

Procrastination Ho!

Urg, I'm TERRIBLE when it comes to keeping my blog up to date! I REALLY need to make a habit of updating more frequently!

Been keeping myself fairly busy with University and trying to get hours at work, I also have the Armageddon expo coming up next weekend, so that will be fun, I'm actually going to be helping out at one of the stands, so if you are in the area, pay a visit to the Wizards of the Coast stand and say hi!

Back to uni...

Well, it's back to university... and how annoying, I have MORE assessments next week. Second batch of Japanese 1A assessments - another Oral, Listening, Written and Grammar assessment. Gonna have to knuckle down if I want to make sure I pass *cringe*

Finally, a break!

Well, at this current point in time, I am officially on easter break and off university for the next 2 weeks. Sadly it will not be much of a 'break' though, as most of the time will probably be spent working on an 800 word formative assessment I have been given as part of my Intercultural Competence course I am doing as part of my Bachelor of Arts, or working on my part of the group assessment we've also been given in the same class (We are expected to give a progress report in week 8 and the final assignment must be done in week 13).

Ye Gads!

I am getting worse and worse at this. TWO WEEKS since my last update!

Anyway, I had my first Japanese 1A assessments last week and yesterday, I actually get my results back from 3 of the assessments today if all goes well, my final test for my first assessment is this afternoon which is reading and writing in Hiragana, so I'm hoping I won't do TOO terribly at that. I'm doing pretty well with the reading aspect, it's just the writing part I seem to have a little trouble coming to grips with. Ah well, it's all about persistance.
